Common Issues

Quick solutions to frequently encountered problems.

Calendar shows "No events found"

This usually means either the date range has no matching records, or the current user doesn't have access to the records. Check your filter settings and ensure the user has appropriate permissions on the configured object and fields.

License validation failed

Ensure your license key is entered correctly in Setup → Custom Settings → CalView License. The Org ID in your license must match your Salesforce organization ID exactly (18-character format).

"Field not accessible" error

The current user doesn't have Field-Level Security (FLS) access to one of the configured fields. Grant access via Permission Sets or Profiles, or remove the inaccessible field from your calendar configuration.

Events not displaying in correct colors

Check that the Color field is correctly configured in your data source settings. The color should be a valid hex code (e.g., #0176D3). If using color by field value, ensure the field contains valid color codes.

Calendar loads slowly with many events

For calendars with thousands of events, add filters to reduce the dataset. Consider filtering by record type, owner, or status. CalView is optimized for up to 3,000 events per view.
