Installation Guide
Step-by-step instructions to install CalView in your Salesforce org.
System Requirements
Before installing CalView, ensure your Salesforce org meets these requirements:
- Salesforce Edition: Enterprise, Unlimited, or Developer Edition
- Lightning Experience: Must be enabled
- API Access: Required for package installation
- User Permissions: System Administrator profile or equivalent
Step 1: Download the Package
Download the CalView managed package from your purchase confirmation email or from the license delivery page.
Step 2: Install the Package
- Log in to your Salesforce org as a System Administrator
- Navigate to Setup → Apps → Packaging → Installed Packages
- Click Install a Package
- Enter the package installation URL from your download
- Click Continue
- Select Install for All Users (recommended) or choose specific profiles
- Click Install
- Wait for the installation to complete (may take a few minutes)
Step 3: Assign Permission Sets
CalView includes two permission sets:
- CalView_Admin: For administrators who need to create and configure calendars
- CalView_User: For end users who only need to view calendars
To assign permission sets:
- Go to Setup → Users → Permission Sets
- Click on CalView_Admin or CalView_User
- Click Manage Assignments
- Click Add Assignment
- Select the users and click Next, then Assign
Step 4: Activate Your License
After installation, you need to activate your license:
- Open the CalView Admin app from the App Launcher
- Click on License Settings in the navigation
- Enter your license key (from your purchase confirmation)
- Click Activate License
- You should see a success message confirming activation
Step 5: Verify Installation
To verify CalView is installed correctly:
- Open the App Launcher and search for "CalView"
- Click on CalView Admin
- You should see the CalView home page with options to create calendars

Troubleshooting
Installation fails with "insufficient access rights"
Ensure you're logged in as a System Administrator and your org has API access enabled.
License activation fails
Verify that your license key is entered correctly and matches your Salesforce Org ID. Contact support if issues persist.
CalView app doesn't appear in App Launcher
Ensure you have the CalView_Admin permission set assigned to your user.
